Bankside Open Spaces Trust has signed up Groundwork’s Force of Nature pledge, which is helping to shape the future of green careers.

What is Force of Nature?

Force of Nature is a new, exciting campaign that asks environmental organisations to think differently about how we diversify our workforce and boost the environment sector.

Why has Bankside Open Spaces Trust signed up?

Bankside Open Spaces Trust is pledging to work towards creating a more inclusive environmental sector because we believe nature belongs to everybody and only by actively welcoming more people into the sector can we make working in, and spending time in, nature truly accessible.

Our free horticultural training programme, Future Gardeners, removes some of the barriers that prevent people from starting a career in the environmental sector, but we know we can improve inclusivity across our work. This pledge serves as a reminder to do all we can to make our recruitment, our volunteering and our events as inclusive as possible to reflect our diverse community.
