Please note, we ask for a suggested donation of £5 for wreathmaking to help us cover our costs, and there is a small charge for refreshments - all monies raised supports the garden and Bankside Open Spaces Trust's work throughout London's SE1.

An Octavia Hill inspired community celebration

Held around the birthday of Octavia Hill, social reformer, who founded the garden in 1886, it is both a celebration of the garden and of all those who visit and enjoy the space throughout the year.

New for 2023 - Archbishop’s Park Gardening Club

We’ll be joined by Archbishop’s Park Gardening Club - bring some cash and buy some lovely local produce!

Helen from Archbishop’s Park, who runs the club says, “We’re a micro charity supporting the wellbeing of local people using the pleasurable tasks of nurturing plants and growing food. There’s a work experience programme to give young people with special needs a better chance to find entry level work or training. With several gardens at the park, we also have a pond and an apiary where volunteers encourage and support biodiversity. We’ll be selling some of our homemade jams, jellies and our course of raw local honey to support our work in the community.”

We look forward to an evening of music, wreathmaking and merriment with our community!
